Hello Cesar,

The tool for measuring SAP Business Suite users is USMM SAP System Measurement.

You can find all user types in "Overview of all available user types"  section in below link.

User Classification | SAP Support Portal

If a user is using only one module it can be called as limited profesional. Having operations for more than one  module makes a user professional.

You can see  https://support.sap.com/keys-systems-installations/measurement.html for details.

Ozlem,

S/4HANA has embedded BI content and SAP BI - SAP Business Objects applications are great applications to be used for this purpose.

You may find this linkSAP HANA Live - Real-Time operational reporting useful to get more details on S/4HANA OLAP capbilities and integration with SAP BI, Smart Business Apps and Fiori capabilities.

We will update this link also soon with more details on S/4HANA Analytics as showcased during SAPPHIRE 2015.

Hi,

a partner would like to setup a realtime replication from S4/HANA (in the public cloud) to an HCP instance. Does this scenario support the SLT replication (based on RFC communication) or should we focus on an integration via SDI?

thanks and best regards

Hi Everyone,

I know there are some good articles on Wiki to improve the performance of WebI applet load time on the browser.I would like to ask everyone here about the average time it takes for web intelligence to load and be ready in the applet mode. This will help me validate if there is any scope of improvement that we might get.

Thank you,

Thank you Erich,

Considering that most BO tools are not cloud based (with exception of Lumira), how does on-premise BO platform read data from cloud based S4HANA?

Kind Regards,

Just from my point of view, there is just Lumira on future planned innovations, no traditional Business Objects for S4HANA cloud.

How does the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) service relate to the SAP S/4HANA, cloud edition?

We are leveraging the same infrastructure as a service (IaaS), data centers, and security qualities, though the lifecycle management is different. Innovation updates for the cloud edition are planned on a quarterly basis, to be consumed by the customer, and managed by SAP.

What would you prefer - SAP ERP or S/4 HANA?

$

Hello,

After the impressive keynote speech of the recent TechEd, it made wonder about how the customers of SAP would leverage the new S/4 HANA, if at all and it instigated a thought process.

Possibilities:

A. Keep our good old SAP ERP - Through the years, a company has been employing SAP ERP, with all its configurations done, customizing in place, trained talent pool, interfaces defined and up and running solutions. Migrating to a whole new solution would mean a lot of overhead of replacing all of that as well as increase TCO.

B. Switch to the amazing S/4 HANA - Simply means leveraging all the benefits S/4 HANA has to offer with lightening speed at comparatively low investment considering the returns. With the ease of development as well as configuration offered, the required workforce might reduce considerably, thus, lowering support costs. This would be like one time investment with long term returns.

Note: All of the above are my views to the best of my knowledge and everyone is entitled to their opinion, agreements or disagreement to the above. Let us just discuss about what everyone thinks about this, pros and cons about what SAP has to offer and propagate optimum utilization of innovation for years to come.

So what do you guys think?

Does the basis administration activities changes once we migrated to SAP S/4HANA

Dear All,

As we are planning to migrate on S/4HANA and BW on HANA from our existing ECC6.0 and BW7.0 environment.

We want to know whether there will be any changes in current basis administration activities once we migrated on S/4HANA? For e.g. user administration, roles and authorizations, printers, transports (STMS), support pack updates, post system refresh activities...etc.

And we are going to attend the SAP HANA training i.e. HA100 and HA200. The question here is do we all SAP Basis team have to attend SAP HANA administration training or it would be fine if only couple of basis team members attend the training who are currently handling the database activities as well.

Thanks,

Narendra

Are you moving to SFIN?

There are not major changes in BASIS roles with the S/4 HANA.

Always good to have current BASIS team to get trained in above modules to be on same page.

Hi,

Yes we are planning to move on SFIN.

I thought the HA100 and HA200 is for who have knowledge of database will be more beneficial from training. I know as a career growth the Basis team with HANA knowledge will be good. But want to know what major changes in BASIS roles will be if we implement the S/4 HANA?

And we couple of team members from Basis team attended the HA100 and HA200 but didn't find any much from Basis perspective in both modules which all the Basis team members should know...That's why I am more curious to know whether once we move on HANA will the same Basis team will be able to perform the day to day admin activities which currently the Basis team is doing apart from HANA administration.

Thanks,

Narendra
